To determine the top 10 most overcrowded destinations in Europe, The Thinking Traveller combed through TripAdvisor reviews for mentions of the words “overcrowded” or “busy”. In the case of Edinburgh Castle, the historic attraction claimed the top slot after receiving 1,184 reviews that said it was overcrowded at the height of the summer months. Buckingham Palace followed closely, as well as the Tower of London.
